Hard Candy Eyes the Limit Eyeshadow Primer 1 Fl Oz Reviews

Howdy everyone! It's been a really long time…I know. I've been actually decorated…a lot of things happened at once, and, well…yep. Only I'one thousand back at present, and I'll try my best to keep up with the posts. I apologize for neglecting this weblog for so long…merely hither'due south a review for now, and more to come (I promise)!

Today's review is on my beginning eyeshadow primer ever! I don't wear shadow much, just thought that it'd be nice to take i anyways, specially since I've heard many people tell me that "information technology makes all the difference" and "really is a skilful investment". This one was cheap, and I read some good reviews (And some bad), and so I thought I'd try it out for myself.

Now…this promises to "increase the vibrancy and lasting power of your eyeshadow" and is a "pucker-proof, extended habiliment formula [that] prevents fading of eyeshadow while maintaining a flawless look all day". Sounds pretty good, right? Simply how did information technology actually perform? Read on to find out!

The packaging is pretty simple, but nice and slim. However, I experience the need to mention that because it's white, and maybe also because of the cloth or something, it can get a little dirty pretty hands. Mine has some foundation or nude coloured shadow and some black prints that are from something else in my make-up purse, I guess, on it.

You need very little for each eyelid, and the precision tip is great considering y'all tin can easily control how much product you lot become. This is flesh coloured and provides a piffling bit of coverage, too. It feels velvety and silky and is simply a dream to use. Information technology really is great. I can also see this tube lasting a pretty long fourth dimension (At least, for me)…I don't wear eyeshadow often then I think one tube would last me years…although information technology probably isn't a proficient idea to use the same tube for years, but I'chiliad just adding that to emphasize how picayune you lot need versus how much product at that place is.

Oh, and before anyone misunderstands, this doesn't control oil at all, despite the velvety feel (Just thought I'd put that out in that location…since I thought that at first). I know it'due south non fifty-fifty in the claim, but…only in case.

The Lancôme swatch (Swatched once, left without primer, right with primer)

It really does increase the vibrancy of your eyeshadow. I take a few swatches here to show you, and they definitely speak for themselves. The purple glitter is a Lancôme one and the brown is a Covergirl one…I decided to test it out on both a high-end and a drugstore shadow, simply to encounter if there was a difference. Just a note…the Covergirl one was done twice because it wasn't quite dark enough for my camera to capture properly clearly the first time.

The Covergirl swatch (Swatched twice each, left with primer, right without primer)

And then information technology definitely increases vibrancy. That'south one part of this primer that's a win.

Next, lasting power. I tested this a few times with different shadows. My high-stop shadows last all day, but they faded less throughout the day with this primer. It basically looked similar I had just practical it past the cease of the solar day. Some other win!

Finally…is it actually pucker-proof? Exercise nosotros really have a total win product here?

Unfortunately…this is the i flaw in the product. Sadly, it does not really preclude creasing…it'southward strange. My drugstore shadows and liners (Yes, information technology made my pencil eyeliner pucker, besides as my shadow…I've never had that happen before, so I found it really foreign) that commonly pucker don't crease when used with this primer, but my higher stop ones, that usually don't, practice (It'due south just the slightest crease, though, and so zip too bad). So, not a total lose, but not really a win, either.

All in all, though, definitely a product I don't regret buying in the slightest!

Pros:

  • Cheap
  • A little goes a long way, one tube lasts a long time
  • Some coverage
  • Feels silky and velvety immediately after, makes applying eyeshadow a dream
  • Increases vibrancy of shadow
  • Increases article of clothing of shadow, prevents fading
  • Prevents creasing on products that usually crease

Cons:

  • Tube gets dirty easily
  • Doesn't control oil
  • Eyeshadows and liners that usually don't crease volition, slightly

Overall rating: ix/10

Would I repurchase? Yes.

This is pretty close to an HG product, I'd say…and y'all can't trounce that price. Plus, adding this primer to my life has been pretty bang-up…aside from the foreign creasing effect, I'm amazed at how even minimizing the fading by a little bit can brand a divergence. Definitely a good buy.
